Facilities Management has emerged as an interdisciplinary field primarily devoted to the maintenance and care of commercial, residential and institutional buildings, such as large format complexes, hospitals, hotels, office and shopping complexes, retail malls, arenas, educational institutes, convention centers and the ICT industry. It is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology. Facilities management, in its widest possible sense, is concerned with the dynamic interaction between an organization’s personnel, processes and place. The Post Graduate Programme in Facility Management for Working Executives (PGPFMWE) is designed to educate students in foundational management principles, enhance facility management skills and knowledge, and prepare them for advancing their careers in the facility management area.
